Tooth Extraction

Sometimes teeth become damaged and need to be extracted. We provide extraction services and post extraction counselling on replacement options.

Ridge/Socket Preservation

After a tooth is lost or extracted, the socket left by the root needs to be preserved to prevent damage to the surrounding bone tissue. We protect the socket by filling it with replacement material.

Ridge Augmentation

Ridge augmentation restores the natural shape and contours of your gums and jaw if you suffer bone tissue loss.

Sinus Augmentation

Sinus augmentation is a method to add bone tissue above your molars and premolars to build up the strength of your jaw. It's commonly used to strengthen your jaw prior to placing dental implants.

Bone Grafts

Bone grafts are used to rebuild damaged jawbone tissue prior to placing dental implants.

Gum Grafting

Gum grafting is used to replace or restore gum tissue by grafting new tissue onto your existing gums. It's used to remedy receding gums, restore damaged gums or for cosmetic dentistry.

Pocket Depth Reduction

Sometimes bacterial infections of the gum can result in the formation of small "pockets" around the roots of your teeth. These pockets can become infected and can lead to gum disease. This procedure reduces the depth of these pockets, making them more resistant to infection.

Flap Procedures

Flap procedures are any procedure that involves peeling gum tissue back from your teeth, roots or jawbone. They are used to allow access to underlying tissue to treat infection or restore damage.

Frenectomy

Frenectomy is the surgical removal of connecting tissue, such as the piece of tissue connecting your upper lip to your gums, to relieve discomfort in the mouth.

Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening is a procedure to reshape gum and bone tissue to expose more of your natural tooth. It's used to correct a "gummy" smile or as part of placing a crown.

Why is Preventing Gum Disease Important?

Gum disease is caused when the bacteria in our mouths begins to form plaque and tartar on our teeth. If we don't remove the plaque through brushing, flossing and cleaning, it can irritate the gums and eventually cause an infection. Left untreated, this infection can move into the gums and form gum disease.

Gum disease can result in tissue damage and the loss of teeth and can eventually lead to serious health complications for your entire body.
